OIL AND WATER DO MIXX

Trying something new can be scary and challenging. It can be scary because of you have no idea how your hair would react to product. Now, you've paid money for something that doesn't work for you. You already knows what works and are sticking with it. Then you find a blog like mines and I have try many products and you looking at my hair like our hair is similar. You might try something I reviewed. Now, here is the challenging part: my hair and your hair seem similar but you don't really know your hair type. People have told you "what they thought" about texture. This is where you become confused and pretty much stay in the box. However, there is something our hair shares a need for hydration and moisture. Here is what I've tried in the last 3weeks: My DIY oil mixture and my DIY spritzer.

MISH'S HEALING OIL MIXTURE:

  • Sunny Isle: Jamaican Black Castor Oil Lavender
  • Sunny Isle: Jamaican Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
  • Real Essentials Oil: Geranium, Peppermint, Rosemary
In an applicator bottle, I pour the 1/3 of the Castor Oil. Next, I pour the EVCO right on top, then the essentials oils. Because of the consistency of the Castor Oil (thick) and EVCO (somewhat light), the EVCO sits right on top of the Castor Oil. So, grab the bottle and begin dancing until it's all mixed up. Take a look:

MISH'S LOLLIPOP SPRITZER:
  • Distilled Water
  • Real Essentials Oils: Peppermint, Rosemary, Lavender
Just filled up a spray bottle with the distilled water. Depending on how big or small your spray bottle is shaped, used 5 drops of each oil. Begin dancing until it's all mix together and......VOILA my lollipop spritzer.

WHAT THE PURPOSE?
Hydration is very important to body as well as our hair. Our hair needs water to grow. I know I used distilled water but you can used any type of water. Especially the bottle water you don't finish drinking or leftover cups of water. As for the oils they have purpose within themselves.
  • Jamaican Black Castor Oil: moisturize, strengthen, thicken, increase hair growth
  • Extra Virgin Coconut Oil (EVCO): helps in hair growth, makes hair shiny
  • Pure Geranium: repairs dry, damaged hair
  • Pure Rosemary: stimulate hair follicle, stop hair loss, promote good circulation
  • Pure Peppermint: balance the hairs' PH
  • Pure Lavender: extremely effective in treating hair loss, good for dandruff, improves hair growth
HOW TO USE:
  • I apply the oil directly on my scalp and hair every other day
  • I spray the air with my spritzer, allowing the mist to hit my whole head. I do this every morning and every night.
I don't know if my hair has gotten any longer because my hair is braided. But I can tell you that my hair feels a little bit thicker and much softer. This is my routine. Just remember you have to find out what type of hair you  have and what usually works for you and begin to add. Peace
