THIS RIGHT HERE........AWESOME

Greetings,

I love DIY conditioning and clay. I've worn my Mini Twist from entire month. I had to take them down because my hair was beginning to locked.

I took my hair down and washed with a clarify shampoo: Beautiful Curls-Shea Butter Curl Activating Shampoo and Yogurt Honey Deep Conditioner. This time I was a little better on my video. LOL! (Look at Beautiful Curls Post for info about where to buy).

HERE IS WHAT I USED FOR THE YOGURT TREATMENT:

  • 4 TBS Greek Yogurt
  • 2 TBS Raw Honey
  • Organic Coconut Milk
  • 2 TBS Jamaican Black Castor Oil

RESULTS:

I really like that my hair was soft and the curl patter was very defined. I will definitely try this again

Hope you enjoy!

So, the idea came back almost a year later. This time it took me a day because I was too tired to keep going. So here's the deal, people have asked me to YouTube the different hairstyles I accomplish and the Mini Twist was my first thought. I had an EPIC failed, just terrible! LOL. Then I remember I have the world's greatest phone: the iPhone and recorded like one of my last sections. I have so nervous, my English was horrible, I was stuttering , repeating myself but you can still enjoy and learn how I mini twist my hair. Take a look...........

  • U R Curly

TRYING TO KEEP THE LENGTH

Greetings,

Keeping hair length is important to Naturals along with stopping breakage. I notice I lose a lot of hair detangling while in the shower. I began to search for a way not to have as much hair loss and I ran across Hey Fran Hey website in which she has this method of dry detangling.

METHODS:

  • Section hair
  • Coat your hair with some kind of oil: coconut, olive, avocado, castor, etc
  • Detangle hair with your fingers. Note: position your fingers as if they were a rake
  • Then twist the section down
  • Then wash or co wash each sections
RESULTS:
  • I slapped some EVCO (Extra Virgin Coconut Oil) until my hair look wet and comb through my hair.
  • It was little rough but it was worth it
  • I did not lose as much hair in the shower nor as I detangled my dry hair.

This is my new way of detangling my hair. I love it!! By the way Hey Fran Hey website: www.heyfranhey.com

HAIR DETOX

Greetings and Salutations Wonderful People!

I've missed you guys soo much! With me being in school almost full time and working full time had me neglecting my blog. But I'm back;)  So let's get started.....

I've been keeping a hair journal because I'm trying new things to my hair. I have been oiling, hydrating, and conditioning my hair more this summer. Detoxing your scalp and hair has been the thing to do as a natural. After reviewing some of my favorite naturals: Naptural85, Hey Fran Hey, All Things O' Natural and The Good Hair Blog by Alex have shown me that is this beneficial. Again, I have tried this method before but not with these products.

CALCIUM BENTONITE CLAY

Benefits:

  • Enhance Curl Pattern
  • Remove Build Hair
  • Clarify the Hair

DIRECTIONS:

  • Pour the powder into bowl. You can mix the powder with ACV (apple cider vinegar) or aloe vera gel. I used ACV in my mix.
  • Put on your hair from roots to end. Make sure you slappin' on your hair and work it through covering each strand of hair.
  • Let the clay sit until right before the clay becomes hard.
  • Rinse out completely

RESULTS:

  • My curl pattern was definitely enhanced
  • My hair was squeaky clean but soft
  • I followed up with deep condition treatment

This is a great deep conditioner. This conditioner really has herbs in it.

Since I don't have a heat cap or dryer, I put my hair in a shower cap and wrap a Tshirt around in. LOL.

My hair was extra soft.

I decided to twist my hair and leave it twisted for a couple of day....
Try it out and let me know how it worked for you! Peace and Blessings Gr8 PPL!

MY HAIR JOURNEY 2000 TO UNTIL.....

Greetings and Salutations,

I have given you some Bio about myself but I didn't tell you about my hair journey. I left the city to go to the country. I left Detroit, MI to go to college in Frankfort, KY.  I was not a fan of letting people do anything to my head and I didn't have the time or the luxury to go back to the D. There were some student down there already from the D, they were hairstylists. I was excited they kept my hair up. I had to wait until I went home to get my hair permed. I played sports so I didn't get a chance to back there until the summer. I only permed my hair once a year. My mom put the idea in my head to go natural. She was like, "stop perming your hair, you only do it once a year anyway." So I did. I started off with my hair being straighten out. I did not BC. I just trimmed my ends until the perm was gone. Take a look........

Then, I was tired of the straight hair. I wanted my hair to "look natural"

Then I want my hair cut to get rid of the straight ends. Yet I keep straighten my hair. Not the smartest. I cut little by little and off! LOL

I braided my hair next.........................

In 2009, I started my kinky journey........

So, there you have it. My hair evolve since then. Take a look at some of the hairstyles. Enjoy!
